Anticoagulation in Practice 2007
On the 26th and 27th April, 2007, over 250 delegates gathered at Birmingham University for the first ever joint conference between AnticCoagulation Europe (ACE), the Anticoagulation Specialists Association and the AntiCoagulation Working Party of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society.
The conference had been a long time in the planning and we extend our grateful thanks to the sponsors and exhibitors who helped to make this possible. Also to Lloyds Pharmacy who were there to give free blood pressure and glucose checks.
We hope that this may beocme an annual event.

"All our Runners were ACE"
On Sunday the 22nd April, 2007, our wonderful runners pushed themselves to the limit to raise funds to help children lead a better quality of life.
The weahter was warm, there were fears about dehydration, and some of our runners were determined to run dispite injuries.
But despite this they all made it to the finish and proved, yet again, what wonderful things people can do when they are inspired by a good cause.
So far we have purchased foru self-testing monitors and these are going out to children on our wainting list as we go to press, and the monies are still coming in.
Our heartfelt thanks go to our runners and to all those marvellous people who supprted them.
