CoaguNation coming to a destination near you!
Eve Knight - Executive Director AnticoagulationEurope:
“The CoaguNation Bus Tour provides an excellent opportunity for warfarin patients across the UK and Ireland to learn about the potential benefits of self testing, and to speak to other self testing patients from AntiCoagulation Europe about the positive impact it can have on their lives”.
John Chisholm, Patient:
"Self-testing has quite simply changed my life. The CoaguNation Bus Tour offers a unique chance for people on warfarin to find out more about self-testing and to ask other patients about their experiences"

Our new Campaign...for the Republic of Ireland!
Our new campaign is for the Republic of Ireland to receive the benefits that we enjoy in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – to have the reagent testing strips needed for self-monitoring available on prescription.
To do this, I need as many people as possible who live in the Republic of Ireland to support AntiCoagulation Europe in this campaign.
Please write to:
AntiCoagulation Europe
PO Box 405

or send an e-mail: anticaogulation@ntlworld.com
Pledging your support and help to end this injustice.
Eve Knight
Director of AntiCoagulation Europe
Scotland the brave!
Scotland has at last bowed to pressure from AntiCoagulation Europe‘
The above quote comes from „The Herald“ for Scotland, December 2002, at the end of our successful campaign.
So how was this campaign started?
- The first step was to organise the petition by sending out thousand of A 5 postcards to anticoagulation clinics, hospitals and people on warfarin in Scotland. The cards asked people to sign and return the cards giving their support to AntiCaogulation Europe.
- An information pack was sent to all Members of the Scottish Parliament explaining our campaign.
- Two receptions were organised and hosted by Eve Knight of AntiCoagulation Europe.
- Mary Scanlom MSP kindly tabled questions to the Scottish Executive and Scottish Ministers.
- We sent letters to the Health Minister, Malcolm Chisholm, explaining the situation.
- MSPs and health care professionals were invited to the receptions.
- Regular updates were sent to the media, including „The Mail on Sundy“, „The Daily Record“ and „The Herald“.
- Two Childrin, Adam Baxter and Tom Messer, agreed to present our petition to the Petitions Committee.
The Result was excellent – strips on prescription in Scotland!
Thousand of Scots who monitor their INR are now able to obtain their testing strips on prescription.
